Construction worker dies in a serious fall

Construction is one of the most dangerous industries in the United States when considering how many people are injured on the job every year. Whether they are struck by a falling object, are crushed between two objects, or fall from a scaffold, construction workers face a host of dangerous situations.

The employer is responsible for creating a safe work environment for all employees on the construction site. Even then, accidents can happen and people can become severely injured or lose their lives as a result.

One man recently lost his life after he fell at a construction site in Madison. The 24-year-old male fell from a four-story building and suffered injuries that later proved to be fatal. When the man was discovered at the construction site, he was bleeding from a head wound and barely breathing. The medical examiner verified that the injury that caused his death was a direct result of the fall.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was present to look into the details surrounding the case. It is unknown whether he fell because of a construction site safety issue or because of an accident.

When people are injured at work, they may be entitled to workers compensation benefits. These benefits are designed to help workers with their medical expenses, as well as money lost from time taken off work. A workers’ compensation attorney may be helpful in exploring your legal options and getting the compensation you deserve.
